Welcome to NYU Steinhardt Multilingual Multicultural Studies (MMS) in TESOL/Foreign
Language Education/Bilingual Education!
On behalf of the Department of Teaching and Learning in the Steinhardt School of Culture,
Education, and Human Development, we want to congratulate you on your acceptance into our
program. This is an exciting time in education, when school reform, the standards movement,
and efforts to increase civic engagement among students have been making headlines. We are
confident that your M.A. work at NYU will help prepare you to join the profession in TESOL,
Foreign Language Education, and Bilingual Education.
Please plan to attend one of the following MMS orientation events:
* Wednesday June 17, from 4 - 5:30 pm, Cochrane Room, 239 Greene Street, 2nd fl.
* Wednesday September 2, from 2 - 3:30 pm, Cochrane Room, 239 Greene Street, 2nd fl.
* Thursday September 3 from 2 - 3:30 pm, Cochrane Room, 239 Greene Street, 2nd fl.
You must email Mike Revenaugh in advance at mpr3@nyu.edu to confirm your attendance.
In addition to the program orientation, we have scheduled two open advisement hours for course
selection and registration:
